How to track your Interactive Brokers portfolio

Tracking your Interactive Brokers portfolio in Pro Stock Tracker is easy and gives you a complete view of your investments. By exporting your trades from Interactive Brokers and importing them into Pro Stock Tracker, you can monitor performance, dividends, sector allocation, and other analytics across all your accounts and brokers. Consolidating your data in one place helps you understand gains, losses, and overall portfolio health over time.

Step 1: Export your trades from Interactive Brokers

Use the steps below to download your transaction history from Interactive Brokers:

  1. Login to your Interactive Brokers account
  2. Click on the Reports tab and select Flex Queries
  3. Click '+' next to Activity Flex Query
  4. Select Trades under Sections
  5. Select Executions on the pop up window
  6. Tick SELECT ALL and click Save
  7. Enter a Query Name
  8. Change Date Format to mm/dd/yyyy under General Configuration
  9. Click Create
  10. Run the Activity Flex Query
  11. Under Period, select Custom Date Range to cover all trades
  12. Set Format as CSV, click Run and download your trades
  13. Upload your file below. (You will be able to review the import before it is saved.)

Step 2: Import your trades into Pro Stock Tracker

Once your Interactive Brokers trades are downloaded, follow these steps to import them:

  1. Click New Holding in Pro Stock Tracker’s header
  2. Select Import File
  3. Choose Guided File Import (recommended) or Import File Directly
  4. Upload your CSV file
  5. Map columns if necessary (date, ticker, buy/sell, quantity, price, fees, currency)
  6. Review the preview table for errors
  7. Click Import Trades to finalize
